Everything is coming together!

Cabinets came today. They are beautiful. Much different than our last house. This time we are way out of our comfortable zone-kind of taking a walk on the wild side. I went Cherry this time. These took a lot of time and effort to plan. We had a designer come in and now have awesome custom cabinets. The ones that have glass will be lighted in the future.These ones have been placed yet. They should be all in by the end of the weekend. We are not having a kitchen table this time around. In the middle of our kitchen we will have 6 X 7 island.

My brother and the guys he works for came in and did the hardwood floors. They are installed and will be finished in the next two weeks. This picture is standing in kitchen looking through dining room and formal living room.

This picture is one of my favorite things. I actually have many favorites. But I really really like this. It's right when you come in our side door or the door from the garage. I will try to find baskets for the bottom. Kids can put hats/mittens in there. And I'll get a cushion for the seat. There are now pegs above to hang coats and a little shelf at the top.

Painting is an ongoing process. The tile guy is doing a great job. What a tediouis job. But he has lots of great ideas.
