2 more nights!

Two more nights and then Im off for over a week. Well kind of! Im going to work Wednesday night--but I figure by then I'll need work to give me a break.

Emma and I did some running around today for the house. Went to Home Depot and bought most of the lights for the house. I had it out with an employee there. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?????

This was me asking for help. I stood in the aisle for a good 1/2 hour and never saw an employee not even pass by me. No biggy Im doing ok until I need 3 of one light. I go in search of help. This employee says "oh one of those two guys can help you." Well they were both busy so I waited but stood near them so when they were done they would realize I was waiting. Well one turned and looked and totally acted like I wasn't there. So the first employee went over and said that I needed help getting a light.

So the older man says "where is the light?" Over in light section. We head over. I pull one of the lights from my carriage to show him. And point to it way up above. At this point I can already feel Im putting him out. So he looks up and says "ok the one with the orange sticker that says 363426?" Yes thats the right one. He heads off and gets one of those big huge stair cases. Goes up and gets a box out with a light in it and starts to head down the steps. So before he gets to far I ask him "do you realize you have the wrong light?" He looks at me like Im crazy and says what? I said before you went up the ladder you asked me if it was light 363426. He's looking at me really crazy now. So I asked what are the numbers on that box. He won't answer me but rolls his eyes again and shakes his head. Ok now I've lost it!!!!!!!! I quickly responded with if you don't want to help me I will find someone who will. He storms back up the ladder and gets the correct light and says "I don't understand you people." Hands me the light I say thank you and head off with almost a whole house of lights.

I head to the checkout with my carriage of lights and Emma who is totally clueless to her mothers little TMD (Zach and the Queen refer to TMD as total meltdown). I check out and ask to speak to the manager. I explain the whole situation to the manager. He apologizes to me and is not very surprised. He knew who I was talking about and said that he felt that there was a situation going on outside of work that this employee was carrying into work. Thats fine but not my problem.

Now mind you they find somebody to help me out with my carriage of lights.

By the time I got to the house I was having chest pains and my left arm was going numb. Now Im sure it was an excessive case of anxiety.

So in typing all that I said last weekend to my mom and someone I work with that Im going to try so hard and turn over another leaf. Im going to start letting things go. Not harbor these ill, angry, worried feelings. Learn to let things roll off my back. Well Im not sure it worked today totally. But it kind of did because speaking to the manager let me get it off my chest and not carry it. It's done and over!
